When I saw these Chocolate and Copper Satin Acrylic Hearts on-line at Auntie’s Beads, my fingers couldn’t move fast enough to get them into the Shopping Cart. I didn’t browse or linger on the site. I checked out immediately!! Didn’t want some other speedier shopper to beat me to them.
My plan was to make a charm bracelet with dangling hearts.
But instead, I made a necklace using all twelve 30mm hearts. And then I decided the necklace needed a pair of matching earrings. So off came the last heart from each end. You know me. Ms. Change It Up. In my mind, until the crimp is flattened, all ideas are a go.
Supplies used, in addition to the hearts.
Dark and light copper-colored round flat discs, dark bronze cube beads, 3mm copper-colored small round accent beads, 11/0 copper seed beads. Plus antique copper bead caps, key charm and clasp. I ended up using the clasp in the middle, hook style.

Cutting Wire and Getting Started
Cut 40″ length of wire. I used Beadalon #12, 7 Strand.
String Beads and Hearts in order per photos, right to left.

Not in the photos but string two more “heart sections”. One chocolate. One copper.
You are now at the bottom center of the necklace.
Ready to Add Key Charm

Now repeat steps in reverse order and go up the opposite side of the necklace.

When finished stringing, your necklace should look like this.

Ready To Add Clasp and Crimp
Follow the steps per the photos.

I added eight 11/0 seed beads to loop around the clasp ends. Just for a finished look. You can omit this step, if desired.

Pull tight on the wire, hold it with a bead stopper, crimp the crimp, trim excess wire sticking out.

Repeat for opposite side of the clasp.

And finished!! Your necklace is finished and ready for you to wear or gift to a loved one.

If you have any energy left, you can make a pair of earrings like I did.

So as not to lengthen this post any further, I am just showing how I made them with photos. I used the same supplies as for the necklace plus copper jump rings, copper ear wires and thin copper-colored Artistic Wire for stringing. Cut a 10″ length for each earring.

Crimp and cut off excess wire.

Connect jump ring to earwires. Attach to each earring. And done!!

If you have any questions on the process, you can leave me a comment.
Thanks much for following along.

Thanks, Tanya. I am doing great. Busy as all get out!! I think I am busier than when I WORKED.
Hope you are well too. In a couple of months you will be back outside macraming. I am working on a really simple bird cage plant hanger. Coming soon.
