  1. Excellent list and a great resource for any craft show participant – whether new or experienced!

I can think of only one thing to add…

    snacks! ;-)

    • Yep, I refer back to this list again and again.

For snacks, I will take a piece of fruit and eat that on the run. And usually buy a slice of pizza or whatever they are selling at the show.

I had fun Thursday but didn’t sell much. Must be the economy. I love networking with other crafters though, picking up ideas for new items and new ways to display my stuff.

  2. What do you recommend for a credit card machine? I’m getting ready for my 1st craft show in a little over a week and as of this point do not have one of these. I’ve checked in to some on line but scary to try a company without someone recommendations with all the identity theft going on. I like your blog. Thanks for all the tips.

    • Hi Stacey. I used to have a charge card machine but gave it up years ago due to too many fees. Now I just take cash and checks at my shows. There is another way to do charges IF you have your items available on line such as Etsy and can take a laptop with you to your show. You can put the item the person wants in your store and have them purchase it from there and pay via PayPal. I haven’t tried this but have heard of others having success with it. Wish I had more details but that’s all I have. Good luck with your upcoming shows.
