You know that commercial about not leaving home without it. Too bad I DIDN’T leave my AMEX card at home before heading out to Bead Bonanza on Sunday. Sigh…
The show was well organized. Lots of vendors. Great displays. BUT… after walking around from booth to booth it was clear after awhile that the only differences were the prices. My eyes started to glaze over from all the colorful beads. They were everywhere!!
I found exactly what I was looking for in the first hour.
26 strands of beads. Some were really unique and not what I usually buy. Black beads that look like charcoal. Some resembling acorns. Some beads in purple, blue and green. Can’t wait to mix them up and create something.

Also found a special type of bracelet clasp I had been searching for on-line but never could find. Was REALLY happy about that. Only got one though since it was $9. Ouch!!

One vendor was selling all types of jewelry display pieces. Prices were reasonable and too good to pass up. See how much nicer my brown wireworked necklace looks on this type display.

And like I needed another beading book!! But I flipped through an assortment anyway and did find two books with interesting jewelry pieces. I have already made up several of the clip on charm thingys.

All in all it was an enjoyable day. My first Bead Show. Even saw one of my beading classmates and had lunch there. The next show is Spring 2009 at the same location. I’ll be there with list in hand.
