Mother-Daughter Macrame Purses

Thursday, June 19

The sun came out today for about two hours so I had to rush to get my pictures taken. Now I need to play catch up and get my articles posted which I delayed for several days.

I made two of these purses last year and cut the cords to make the smaller purses but never got around to finishing them. I hate looking at cut cord so I decided to get busy and make them up. I ended up with a third larger one and three smaller ones for a total of six or 3 sets.

I will probably list a mother-daughter set on Etsy and the rest individually some time this week.

Measurements:
Large purse- L 9 1/2″, H 8″ without handles, H 11 1/2″ with handles and W 1 1/2″
Small purse- L 6″, H 7 1/2″ with handles and W 1 1/4″

6mm braided cord used. 72 yards for large purses and 30 yards for smaller ones. Cord is called Crazy Cord. It has just about every color macrame cord comes in.

The smaller purse is perfect for that little girl just becoming interested in carrying around a purse. Hours of fun!!

  1. LOL! Hannah would love the purse…my sister, on the other hand, would not be seen dead with a purse.
